In June a "Brazilian American Community-Wide Town Dialogue" convenes representatives from law enforcement, public works and services, political figures, the business community, and human service agencies. The group identifies a list of needs; valid identification for immigrants, protection against housing problems and exploitation by landlords, better access to health care and higher education, and representation of the Brazilian community in town government.
