The Health Equity Compact is formed at the state level to develop a reform bill to address health disparities affecting Black and Latino populations.

The Compact comprises over eighty Black and Latino leaders (as of January 2024) of health-related organizations.

While health disparities in these populations have been well documented by this time, the disproportionate impact of the COVID-19 pandemic galvinizes the leaders to come together to "advance health equity in Massachusetts." The compact filed a bill in the 2023-2024 legislative session.
